The Accidental
First Aiders

We commentate. We care. Sometimes at the same time.

Two dads. Two microphones. One rugby touchline.

We started out helping with first aid at grassroots rugby and somehow ended up providing completely unsolicited commentary at the same time.

Eventually, someone made the mistake of giving us microphones.

What exactly is this?

The Accidental First Aiders is a light-hearted grassroots rugby commentary project.

We record the matches, add our own touchline commentary and turn the best moments into full videos, clips, shorts and reels.

There is proper rugby.

There is questionable punditry.

There is occasional first aid.

And there is almost certainly somebody shouting from the opposite touchline.

Match Commentary

Grassroots rugby with unnecessarily serious commentary.

Touchline Banter

The things people normally say quietly. Recorded.

First Aid Duty

Because occasionally we actually have to do the job we came for.

Full Match Commentary — Week 1

Two dads, two microphones, and a touchline view nobody asked for. Full grassroots rugby match commentary with the lot.

If this makes money, the club wins.

This started for fun, and that is how we intend to keep it.

If The Accidental First Aiders generates income through advertising, sponsorships, platform revenue or other commercial activity, we will first cover the direct costs of producing the content, including equipment, software and related production expenses.

Any remaining proceeds will be donated to support our rugby club.

So if this ridiculous idea actually makes any money, grassroots rugby benefits.

The Commentary
The Club

No shareholders. No media empire. Just muddy boots and questionable commentary.

Who gave these two microphones?

Gee

Accidental first aider. Amateur commentator. Dad. Professional opinion-giver.

Marley

Accidental first aider. Commentator. Dad. Usually more sensible.

Real names, photos and bios to follow. We are not hiding — we are just still deciding who gets top billing.

Grassroots first. Always.

The project is created with the cooperation of the rugby club and with appropriate permissions for filming and publication.

We take safeguarding, privacy and the wellbeing of young players seriously.

Our humour is aimed at ourselves, the situation, the weather, the touchline and the general chaos of grassroots rugby — never at individual children.

Where required, footage will be edited, excluded or restricted to respect privacy and safeguarding requirements.
